An interesting post over on Hitwise Intelligence by Heather Dougherty earlier this month profiles how this Summer’s heat wave in the US has driven online sales of air conditioners. What I found most interesting was the eBay-focused data… eBay experienced increases in the Air Conditioner category during the same week ending July 10, 2010 with a 46% increase in the volume of searches for ‘air conditioner’, ‘window air conditioner’...

Spending time with Lisa’s Luxe here at eBay: On Location Dallas. Lisa has been selling on eBay for a little over 2 years now and full-time for 6 months after working for 7 years at Neiman Marcus. Until today, she had 100% positive feedback however, as she was leaving to join us here at eBayOL, she received a negative feedback from a buyer in Europe who was upset that she couldn’t pay by check. The U.S. Second Circuit Court of Appeal’s ruled that eBay is meeting its responsibilities in fighting counterfeiting under trademark law earlier today. This decision affirmed a lower court’s ruling in favor of eBay. Michael R.
